Toolbox
A toolbox holds the tools that are used most or that meet certain needs. Our toolbox should be just as helpful.
WMU has compiled an excellent responsive reading that can be used for worship services, small groups, and other appropriate times. Appreciation is given to Barbara Elder for compiling the reading. Sandy Wisdom-Martin, Illinois WMU executive director, has written an excellent skit that shows the missions needs of the world and WMU's response to it. Who doesn't need another missions idea? Who has time to create a full slate of missions projects? This Web site offers creative, timely, and doable projects for your association and local churches. National WMU maintains a database of housing that is available for SBC missionaries on stateside assignment. Does your association want to get involved? If so, check here. WMU's 2004-2006 critical issue deals with poverty. Need a good quote? Got a last minute sermon or talk to give? Want to add a real "punch" to your message? Click here for some excellent "Repeatable Comments." Every one of our trips is about leadership development. Youth Pastors who partner with us have leadership development as their goal. We think differently about trips. We see trips as a classroom to teach leadership.
Welcome to urbana.org, a place to learn about global mission and God's will, and to be challenged by the world's needs.
Pulpit & Pew is an interdenominational project aimed at strengthening the quality of pastoral leadership (clergy and lay) in churches, parishes, and other faith communities across America. George Bullard and the Hollifield Leadership Center offer hands on leadership ideas for missions leaders. Ethnic Harvest works in partnership with evangelical churches and agencies, offering stories, resources, and practical ideas for forming cross-cultural friendships and living your faith more effectively.
